In this project, I document the quiet poetry of movement and architecture within the Makkah train station—a gateway not only to a city, but to a deeply spiritual journey. This is a place where faith meets function, and where the rhythms of travel echo with purpose and prayer.
My lens was drawn to two elements: the people and the place. Pilgrims wearing white ihram, families with suitcases and strollers, individuals caught in moments of stillness. Around them, the station’s design rises with geometric grace—light filtering through patterned walls, sweeping arches guiding the eye forward, repetition grounding the chaos of departure.
Through these images, I seek to hold space for both the human and architectural experience of transit. The photos are not only records of travel, but meditations on intention, unity, and presence. This series is my quiet tribute to the unseen moments of preparation, waiting, and devotion that fill this station with life.
